Plus if it keeps costs down, I say let them have at it. but they're outgrowing the physical mediums we have available. I'd like to keep having more physical games myself. Its just being moved away from not only because games are getting bigger but to save on production costs as physical media costs more to distribute where as digital games are readily avalable 24/7 and instantly downloadable with no cost to obtain for the vendor or the consumer (other than the game itself). not to mention I don't know of too many people that have them in their computers. Would actually fall just short of fitting in an HDDVD (15gb) and using a BRdisc (50gb) would be absolute overkill and probably inflate production costs. that most definitely would not fit on a CD-rom, or even a DVD.

SkyrimSE's install directory comes to 16gb. if they supplied an install disc, last I checked my install for that game was somewhere in the neighborhood of 50gb (And sometimes MMO's will do this, Aion had one at one point, I still have my Steelbook copy of the Vanilla installer from being a beta tester/pre-order player.) But even going to things that aren't MMO's and require huge amounts of assets, look at Skyrim for example. I mentioned this would be the case with Mania, not always going to be the case though.
